The Sixleaf SL-39 is a classic slip joint folder that blends traditional aesthetics with everyday practicality. The 9Cr13MoV stainless steel blade offers a solid combination of corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening at an entry-level price, making it an ideal everyday utility knife or an accessible gift for those new to quality folders. The warm wood handle adds a timeless, natural character that stands out among modern synthetic-handled knives.

The slip joint mechanism requires no lock operation — the blade is held open by spring tension, making it legal to carry in many jurisdictions where locking knives are restricted. Lightweight, affordable, and reliable, the SL-39 is a genuine workhorse for everyday tasks. Made in Yangjiang, China.

  1. Don’t let the low price fool you, this would still be a nice knife at three times its asking price. My collection includes Benchmade, SOG, Spyderco, WE Knives, and quite a few others and this knife impressed me greatly right out of the box. It will remain in my EDC rotation until it breaks or cannot be resharpened. FYI the description of this knife is not exactly accurate. It is a liner lock, not a “slip joint”. And it is a front flipper opening style NOT a “nail nick”. A quick look at the photos ought to make this clear, but just in case folks were confused…
