I was not expecting a knife of this quality as a freebie. The one I got was an OTF with the switch/button on the flat face of the handle vs the edge like the others I have. I think I prefer it in that spot. It's a great knife. It's the OTF on top left of the picture with the bluish double sided blade.

For the price it is an incredible deal. I ended up getting a massive knife that has a damascus pattern. It was their TacKnives Automatic OTF Knife – MTU5TS Model with the half-serrated tanto blade. Usually 70 bucks. The action is great and sturdy. Not too much blade play. That part of it was great. The only problem was that the serrated part of knife was a little dingy. When I took it out of the pouch (which is very nice) I had to pick at the serrated part to remove the excess metal shavings. Some of it is still a little messy but it's not terrible. It is also a pretty weighty blade so I will not be using it as an everyday carry. Overall a great get from the mystery box. This is my second Tacknives purchase and the mystery box did not disappoint at all.

It seems to be made of quality construction. I really like the knife, I haven’t used it to cut anything yet but I have open an closed it 100 times already. It also comes with a carry case that I did not take a picture of. I haven’t decided if I want it as part of my edc or keep as a back in a bag. The blade is nice and sharp.

Overall very satisfied, ended up getting a good knife for the price. The action is very snappy and the blade has minimal play when extended. The negatives are that grease/oil was initially seeping out of the seams of the handle and the switch was a bit stiff. Both of these problems eventually went away after a break in period. The blade was a bit dirty out of the box as well, but a quick wipe down and re-oiling took care of it.

I believe this is the MD7T (Tanto) with D2 Blade. Good solid weight to this knife, grippy mini diamond shaped stippling, nice cerakote style ceramic coating on the metal handle. The action is smooth, quick, and firm, I wouldn’t worry about any accidental discharge of the blade while in a pocket/bag/etc, but it’s not difficult to slide the button to open/close the blade either. The glass breaker on the bottom has holes through it which would be a nice place for some paracord or a wrist lanyard. It came with a nylon web case with plastic clasp and a belt loop with Velcro closure, which is cool, but I’m not personally going to use that. The tanto style blade is a nice length at just about 2.75” although it did not come very sharp out of the box, which is mostly the reason I give this knife 4 out of 5 stars. There is a small chip in the ceramic coating on the handle as well. At about a $60 price point, the MD7T is not a bad otf knife by any means!

Wasn't sure what I was going to get but was very impressed with the knife. It has a good finish and feels great in hand. The blade style wasn't one I prefer but it will make a great gift and I already ordered another just like it without serrations for myself. Will likely be buying another down the road for sure.

I received this as part of a promotion with another purchase, and either I'm extremely lucky (I'm usually not) or TacKnives is extremely generous with their mystery picks! This is a great OTF for general use. I've paid considerably more for knives of lesser quality. The edge on this bad boy rivals the fillet knife in my kitchen set. The biggest mystery of this "mystery knife" is how they can sell them so cheap.

Lucked out with this mystery draw as it happened to be one of the OTF Karambits I was looking to order. An OTF Karambit is something I had been considering as I already carry a rapid deployment Karambit as my backup knife when carrying a full carry loadout. This aluminum handled knife is very substantial in weight. A bit much for lighter shorts but no problem for jeans or heavier pants. Action is snappy like a mid range OTF with just a slight bit of blade play. Blade was razor sharp out of the box. Handle is about a 4.5 finger grip in my XL glove hands. Would like to see .5 to .75 inch shorter to make it more manageable when using the standard ring grip My only othercomplaint it the pocket clip. It is on the wrong side for right hand pocket carry and ring deployment. The clip needs to be ambi so it can be carried in either right or left pockets and deployed in the traditional ring deployment method. For me it works as a backup in my left pocket and allows my normal deployment workflow but would not be able to carry as my primary EDC as it would not fit in my normal ring deployment flows. All in all, a great and unique OTF Karambit for a great price. Pictures show with an Olight Warrior 3 S for size comparison.

I’ll admit I got lucky with the luck of the draw mystery sale. Getting a 70-80$ knife for basically free is insane. The action and blade are strong and beautiful. It also comes with a nice carrying case for your belt or kit. They say it’s a blem sale but I can’t find a thing wrong with my knife. There was a small rub line on the blade from the action but it wiped right off. It probably was from me playing with this knife like a tactical fidget spinner. lol I can’t put it down.

Overall awesome. Due to my State's laws, I would have liked an option to select whether I wanted one side or both sides sharp. Otherwise, very happy. The five on the left are not double edged which happens to be ideal here.

Did they even test the knife before sending? The activation switch wouldn't budge when I took it out of the box. I had to take the whole thing apart and make sure the switch was properly set in the guides on the frame. Once I did that, it was perfect. I took a gamble on the "Luck-of-the-Draw" and for me, it paid off! Great Tanto blade with no serrations! It even fits the Kydex sheath from my recurve point knife! Now that I've fixed it, it's a 5 Star knife. As it came out of the box? 3 Stars at best.

I took a chance on the "Luck of the Draw-Mystery." I am glad I did. This is a great OTF Knife. It has a lot of heft to it. It feels like it is very solidly constructed. I am not sure what it is called. I keep looking on the website to try and figure out what knife it is, but I haven't found it yet. Does anyone know which knife this is? The knife we got didn't open on the 3rd attempt and a few after that, but once I cycled it a few times it broke itself in. Really good deal and a good looking knife!

Absolutely beautiful knives. Inspected both and found only 1 small blemish that is underneath the clip so barely noticeable. Both knives were extremely sharp out of the box and both feel good in the hand, with a good heft to them (you can feel the quality). Getting one of each style (top and side action) helps me gauge which I will buy more of in the future. Each has an excellent instant in/out action on the blade that has no delay, but had definite response to the user, so you aren't going to actuate these knives without intending to do so. Both knives were worth far above the price of the mystery draw. Includes the sheath and covered by the warranty, what more could you ask for? I will definitely be buying more!

Figured I’d try the mystery draw and I’m so glad I did! For 35 dollars I couldn’t ask for a better knife. Decently sharp and fully functional. This was my luck of the draw, great little OTF knife. Sharp right from TK, going to add it to my rotational daily carry. Did have a small scratch, but had to look hard, but this is a scratch and dent mystery special so overall quite pleased.
