TacKnives MTU16G is another collaboration with Fat Dragon knife design. This OTF knife is on the large to extra-large side. Being a super fan of star wars, we wanted to design something that kind of resembled a lightsaber and was futuristic and machine looking.

The MTU16G is a high precision/quality knife with the same tolerance as the MTU15. Due to the size of this knife, it required a bigger spring which made the deployment on the more difficult side.

MTU16G is categorized as a large to extra large size OTF knife. The body of the knife is made with T6-6061 Hard Oxidation Handle also commonly known as aircraft aluminum. In addition to using very high quality material for the handle, the blade is made with D2 steel that is vacuum heat treated. The hardness of the blade is 60HRC. The pocket clip is made with stainless steel with ceramic beads.

MTU16G is a large/extra large size knife. If you are looking for a different blade type or size, please click here!

Awesome knife, feels like a $400-$500 otf. It fires hard and has excellent lock up with very minimal blade play. When these are back in stock I'm definitely picking another one up and maybe a few more for gifts. One of the best knives offered by TK.

  2. This knife is almost perfection. I absolutely love everything about this blade. It’s a beast! One hit is the ergo’s. The body is covered in sharp edges causing hot spots in the hand. Some slight beveling on the edges and this thing would be 10 stars! Still love it and recommend it if you can get your hands on one.
