The MT2DES model is equipped with a black double-edge serrated blade with a black tight gripped handle. It also comes with a Kydex!
This TacKnives OTF Knife is longer than the usual OTF Knife. The blade measures at 4in and the body measures at 6in including the window breaker. The knife body has a triangle pattern for grip and style. The body of the knife has a thin rubber spray for grip.
The OTF Assist Finger Actuator offers spring assisted opening action that flies open the double-edge blade at the push of a button. The blade will retract as well at the push of a button. The OTF knife includes a stainless steel pocket clip for tip-down carry. This OTF knife comes with a window breaker at the end of the knife.
It is heavier, larger and seems to be a little better quality than I expected. There are two pieces of plastic broken off of the kydex which was loose within packaging. Doesn’t affect operation. Overall I’m happy with my purchase
Really Solid Knife N.F.A.💪🇺🇲☝️
I bought 2 knives to replace a more expensive SOG knife that I’ve lost and replaced multiple times so far so figured I’d give these a shot as my EDC. I havent had these long and I believe the other one I got was only like 35.00 but they seem pretty solid ly put together. My guess is the cerakote will probably wear away from the handle after extended use and there is a slight rattle to each blade once extended. The blade steel is of a decent thickness but seems to be your run of the mill tool grade d2 steel which can be hard to sharpen. Blades do have a decent edge to them when they arrive and have a nice heft to them which could contribute more to it sliding out of the pocket when driving after the clip sees some wear . I’m def satisfied with the purchase and for the price and was for sure surprised by the level of quality. I thought it would be some P.o.s. knife that Id want a refund for. Compared to the bench made or microtech I was considering, it might be, but my only use will be in an everyday construction capacity. We’ll see how they’re holding up a year plus out.
The is my first time purchasing from TacKnives and I am very impressed. I ordered the MT2DES OTR knife and it is very well made. I like the weight it has to it. Makes it feel very premium. The deployment of the knife is pretty hard and I like that about it. The grip has a rubber like feel to it. Which makes me think that it would do great under Wet circumstances. I definitely like the sheath it comes with. I’m for sure thinking of getting another knife soon. Keep up the great work.
