I give it a 9.7 out of 10. Fit and finish are absolutely perfect. The magnacut blade makes it top tier. Deployment and retraction are smooth and easy, though there's not a defined "wall" or "trigger break" for either which isn't a big deal. I prefer this knife over my $500 Makora because this one is lighter and the magnacut is just better steel. I'm curious about what material and treatment the Barracuda's internals are made with, that would be nice information to have in the listing descriptions. Tolerance is very tight, not perfect, but much, much better than the Tacknives OTFs I've bought in the past. (years ago I bought the MTU11X, not sure if they even carry it anymore, a friend loved it too so I sold it to him and I ordered another, which unfortunately got lost from out of my mailbox the day of delivery) I gave this knife a 9.7 instead of a 10 because it doesn't come with the star shaped Allen wrench tool you need to switch the pocket clip to the other side, and because of the lack of information on internal component melaterial, and because it could come sharper out of the box. I took it to a local shop and got it sharpened for 15 bucks so it's scary, cartoonishly, rediculously sharp. It now shaves arm hair with just pressure from the weight of the knife. People at work get a kick out of it. All in all its an amazing knife and I recommend buying one if OTF knives are your thing. Nothing about it says "budget knife". I have to reiterate that I prefer it over my Makora, which cost over twice as much and chipped in the first three months of regular EDC use.

Awsome knife absolutely love it less blade play than some of the more exspensive otfs I've had and got to play with fires hard open and close definitely already looking to pick up another one just hard to decide which one I want next

This little knife is awesome. Doesn't fail whatsoever. Action is very smooth and tight, it is very well built. I am very surprised by the quality of it for the price! This is my first knife from Tac Knives, and I am very pleased. Definitely will buy again from them in the future. If you are looking for a high quality switchblade that doesn't cost a ton, buy this knife!!!

Fun knife, very light. Wish there was a larger version. About one inch bigger blade would be perfect.

  1. I give it a 9.7 out of 10. Fit and finish are absolutely perfect. The magnacut blade makes it top tier. I gave this knife a 9.7 instead of a 10 because it doesn’t come with the star shaped Allen wrench tool you need to switch the pocket clip to the other side, and because of the lack of information on internal component melaterial, and because it could come sharper out of the box. 2. After doing a bit of research I purchased the Barracuda OTF in MagnaCut as my first quality OTF knife and I could not be happier with my decision. The manufacturing quality is flawless and the blade tolerance is one of the tightest I have come across. The MagnaCut blade came sharp right out of the box and holds an edge well. All in all I am very satisfied with this OTF and will be purchasing another very soon.

  3. It’s a pretty nice knife, have deployed it alot without issue. I’d buy it all over again. I like the size, not too big. I could picture wanting to sharpen it, but 4 edge bevels with my kme, will take some time. I hope! Shipped very quickly and packaged well. Thank you!

  4. This is a great OTF knife. I’ve purchased many other OTF’s and this one is definitely one of the best. Very smooth action both ways. Super sharp. Very minimal play in the blade. Would definitely recommend this knife to anyone and am looking in to my next purchase with TacKnives.

  5. I recently purchased the TAKCOM Double Action OTF Knife, and after a few days of use, I’m genuinely impressed. The deployment is smooth and reliable, with a satisfying click both when opening and closing. The blade is razor-sharp right out of the box and handles everyday tasks with ease.

The build quality feels robust, yet the knife is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to carry. The design is sleek and modern, making it both functional and visually appealing. Overall, this is an excellent knife for the price, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable OTF knife.
