TacKnives MTU5 series is of the same design as MTU1. MTU5 series is a large OTF knife with the switch ergonomically designed to be on the face of the handle. This allows the natural placement of the thumb for better switch actuation. Furthermore, MTU5 has an integrated window breaker that doesn’t come off and a G10 insert to lessen the weight of the handle. The MTU5 series comes with various blade styles and blade materials. This particular MTU5TS has a Tanto Serrated style blade that is laser etched to have the Damascus pattern.

Pretty cool knife but a bit heavy and long for my needs. The blade has a decent amount of side to side play when deployed – the blade housing shaft tolerance should be tighter as the movement detracts from confidence in the integrity of the bade once out and in use.
Absolutely beautiful and functions smoothly with no wobble. My new EDC knife.
