This is my second knife from Tacknives and I will definitely be buying more. I have several different OTF from different companies but these are the best value hands down. The Boker next to it feels like a toy next to the TK Pro . The action is solid with almost no blade play. It even sounds more solid.

I really enjoy this OTF, and I think it's great for the price. This is my first OTF I have ever owned, so I'm just figuring out what my preferences are thus here are my thoughts. Packaging: the knife shipped in a plastic case I would refer to as a "pelican case" because it's the closest equivalent I can think of. I definitely give TacKnives props for good packaging on their higher end knives. Action: the knife is smooth and fast on the extension, with no noticeable twang of the mechanism and minimal play when extended. Super sharp out of the box, and fun to use. Design: well sized for the average man's hand, with a good profile and pocket clip. Being a double sided blade I have concerns about my thumb sliding off of the switch and onto the blade at some point. Also, the carbon fiber decal on the grip is slick, but offers no aid to grip of the knife. Overall this is a good design/style but it has pointed me toward what I'd like to see. Id like to see a high end otf from TacKnives with a switch on the side of the grip rather than on the frame, rubberized texture where the carbon fiber decal sits (refer to the Kershaw Blur for what I'm thinking), and a blacked out blade. I think a good quality Blade and these features and at this price point would sell like hotcakes.

I love this otf knife. I recently lost my microtech ultratech knife on a Bear/Elk Hunt and couldn't justify spending another $350 to replace it. After weeks of research, I finally found the most compatible otf knife to my lost ultratech. In fact, this is actually a little better as it weighs less, has a little better and consistent action, and has no blade wiggle compared to the ultratech. Has the same D2 blade, so for 1/3 the price it will be my new 'go to' edc.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this OTF. Would put it up there with the likes of the Gerber and Benchmade and just below of the leaders like MicroTech and Guardian Tactial. The aluminum body and carbon fiber inlays make the knife very light weight and you hardly know you have it in your pocket. Action is right up there with the best OTF with a very positive open and close. Blade has a tight lockup with almost no play. Clip in ambidextrous with great in and out of the pocket. Button gives great feedback when opening an closing without any sharp edges to irritate your finger. Very fidgety. Full 4 finger grip with my XL glove hands with plenty of room to adjust my grip for different angles. Overall this is a great premium OTF and compares to OTF 5x-6x its price. This barracuda is all and all hands down the perfect pocket otf. Hardly any wiggle and the perfect weight that you forget it while pocketed but know it’s there when using. D2 blade, enough said besides possibly giving one with serrated. Price is well worth upgrading to pro series and know I’ll buy nothing but. Very smooth and strong operation for an OTF. Would have loved it more had I paid attention and gotten the one with the glass breaker being a retired firefighter EMT.
