Switchblades are one of the most useful tools. It allows the users to deploy the blade with one hand while the other hand is occupied with whatever task at hand. Oftentimes, the operator’s worst nightmare is that his or her hand is tied up with a task and the automatic switchblade fails to deploy. Now the operator has to let go of the task to reset the knife with two hands. This can happen easily with Out The Front knife if the OTF knife is not maintained properly. Gunk and grime can build up in the handle which causes the double actions to fail.
Side switchblades are much more robust than OTF knives. It can take a lot more gunk and grime build-up in the handle. Side switchblades are very reliable tools to have.

Again, the box was busted up but the action on this knife is SOLID. When you press the button, the blade jumps out the side, so you better have a nice grip. Pleasantly surprised. Again, sharp. not Tacknives sharp.
Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this auto knife for the price. Strong spring, Blade is centered when closed, Very light, Pretty good edge on blade. Time will tell if spring holds up.
Wasn’t sure what to expect getting this but I’m very impressed with it. More of a standard pocket knife style is nice and a bit less conspicuous then pulling out a stiletto OTF in certain situations like opening a box, etc. Simple blade deployment and soid construction.
