Switchblades are one of the most useful tools. It allows the users to deploy the blade with one hand while the other hand is occupied with whatever task at hand. Oftentimes, the operator’s worst nightmare is that his or her hand is tied up with a task and the automatic switchblade fails to deploy. Now the operator has to let go of the task to reset the knife with two hands. This can happen easily with Out The Front knife if the OTF knife is not maintained properly. Gunk and grime can build up in the handle which causes the double actions to fail.
Side switchblades are much more robust than OTF knives. It can take a lot more gunk and grime build-up in the handle. Side switchblades are very reliable tools to have.

Really pleased with the overall quality of the knife for the money. Can’t speak for how it will hold up over time but it seems like it should be fine. The only thing that I’m a little concerned about is the possibility of it opening accidentally while in my pocket as there doesn’t appear to be any way to lock it out.
