The TAKCOM Grunt was designed with first responders in mind. The handle was made larger and wider for a stable and firm grip during operation. Furthermore, the handle is machined with opposing patterns for grip. The blade was kept simple with the highest utility blade styles, drop point and wharncliffe. Last but not least, the seat belt cutter at the end was designed for emergency situations.

So this is my first OTF and I couldn’t pass up the deal. The knife itself is LARGE. And the action of the slide button for deployment is good while ensuring you will only deploy the blade when you specifically choose to. My only gripe would be the pocket clip screws, they should be recessed into the clip and the sharpness of the edge near the seat belt cutter. It can make for a slight Hot Spot on the handle when deploying the blade, but not an issue when using the knife itself. Overall I’m very pleased with the knife and will purchase again from TacKnives
