MTU1 has been our best seller as long as TacKnives has been in business. It is simply a beautiful and perfectly designed knife. MTU1 is a large OTF. When the blade is fully extended, it measures at about 9’ for total length. The knife feels incredibly balanced in one’s hand.

The body of the knife is made from zinc alloy and is painted with military camo pattern.

The switch is located on the main face of the body. The innovative design allows an ergonomic placement of the thumb making switching the knife easy and fast.

The blade of the knife is made from 440C carbon steel. It is laser etched to look like Damascus steel. In many ways this is better because Damascus steel is known to be softer and doesn’t hold the edge as well. With the blade made from 440C Carbon Steel, it has the best of both worlds with the Damascus look and the sharpness of 440C.

The knife comes with built in window breaker that will never come loosen.

MTU1 series is our budget OTF line. If you are looking for more premium TAKCOM OTF line, click here

I own several TAC Knives blades, and all of them are of outstanding quality and craftsmanship. This blade, however, seems to stand out. It is definitely my favorite so far! Thank you!!

This knife is an absolute Tank, it's build and weight, let you know it's integrity. This is made to turn heads, and question those last few words. This monster is designed for work. Whatever you do, don't question it's ability to provide, provoke, and promote your statute for whatever your situation is.

I’ve been collecting knives for 50 years. I’ve had high end customs and cheap gotta try’s. This knife, for the price, has a high quality. The fit and finish doesn’t compare to a 300 dollar knife, but is A+ for its price range. The camo pattern is some type of thick coating. Very substantial. The heft and spring deployment is indicative of a much higher end knife. It’s a large knife that feels and fits well in my hand. I wear large to xl gloves, I have big hands. The gimping of the button is comfortable and substantial without being too agressive. I like the integral glass breaker it won’t come loose, ever. The Damascus pattern laser etched almost seems like real Damascus. This is my new favorite for edc and regular cutting needs… box cutting, package opening, apple slicing etc. When the price is right I’ll probably buy more in different colors and configurations.
