Description

TacKnives MTU11B OTF is a LARGE fully automatic double action OTF (Out The Front) knife that is part of our Distinctive Collection. It comes standard with CNC aviation grade Zinc Alloy handles. The 100% CNC Construction of the handle makes for a precise fit of the handle and the blade. The 100% CNC Construction is not only for the exterior, it is also the interior and the operating components as well. The CNC aviation grade Zinc Alloy is extremely strong, lightweight and durable.

All TacKnives knives are designed with EDC (Everyday Carry) in mind. Therefore, ergonomics are everything. The MTU11B handle is perfectly balanced, so it feels natural in the hand of the operator. The handle on both sides are further CNC out and layered with Carbon Fiber to reduce weight and add grip.

The blade of the MTU11B is a straight double edge style blade. The material of the blade is the highest grade D2.

Inside the MTU11B OTF knife, you will find our new dual spring technology where it gives the MTU11B its consistent firing and super rapid deployment. The trigger is designed to be on the side of the knife where your thumb naturally rest for quick deployment. The trigger action is both crisp and smooth.

Since every TacKnives knives are designed with EDC in mind, you will find almost all TacKnives knives are equipped with a ballistic glass breaker and a stainless steel pocket clip. Both features are extremely essential in an EDC knife. In the case of an emergency, an operator has quick access to his or her knife through accessing it from his or her pocket and rapid deployment of the blade. The glass breaker can easily break a common window.

All TacKnives OTF knives are extremely safe to operate and use. TacKnives OTF knives come with a built-in safety that will not allow the blade to fully deploy if anything is obstructing its path. Once in “safety mode” the blade will need to be reset by pulling the blade all the way into its locking position making it fully functional again.

Beautiful knife very little blade play. I love it

I bought this knife a few months ago on sale for $90. I love it, it was plenty sharp out of the box but I like a ridiculous edge on my knives. D2 is a bit hard to sharpen but it has keeps an edge very nicely, much longer than the countless cheap 440 knives I’ve owned. Its a bit big to carry all the time, but so satisfying to open. Feels solid, very little play when open, if I shake it pretty hard when closed all I hear is a spring lightly tapping the case. No idea how long the springs will last, hopefully many years. It’s a keeper.

Very Very Happy with this knife. It is really well made and much more solid than expected. the double action is smooth, though the bottom is quite stiff but since there is no safety I consider that a positive. I am extremely happy with my purchase For the price this is an excellent quality! I will be buying more from Tac Knives in the future!
