Lightweight with a D2 blade! I really liked the heavier 11" model I have with the Zinc alloy handle and cheaper steel on the blade. But the aluminum handle and D2 blade are great upgrades for a handy household knife.

Hands down the finest dual action OTF knife I've ever seen, barring $1000 bespoke pieces. The action is smooth as silk and works reliably every time, putting this in a class of knife that usually costs twice as much, if not more. Blade wiggle is very minimal especially given the size - and this thing is HUGE. I wouldn't hesitate to use this blade for gutting a deer or elk, which is something I'd never expected to say about a non-fixed blade knife. My expectations have been wildly exceeded.

As a child at heart, learned to shoot a BB gun at 5 or 7. Years old, had a switch comb for maybe a week before I broke it at 10 years old, and like the bible says, as I became a man I put away childish things. Well I call bs cause TACKNIVES deliverers every dream I had as a kid and a adult. Do not hesitate ! Hit confirm purchase! And have the same shit eating grin I have!

  1. Good but could be improved… The main body of the knife appears to be solid, probably a zinc aluminum alloy. The scales are resin per tack knife representative. The slight looseness of the blade according to the same representative is to avoid having anything that might gum up the works to be less likely to do so.

However, there would be some things that I would change. Perhaps the option of ” brown ” could be regular wood. Also, if it’s an out the front knife, having both edges sharpened would be a bit more helpful. Other than that, it’s a reasonably good purchase.

  2. Decided to try this since the 9″ and 11″ OTF’s are great and I own both. Take this with me on hikes just in case since I’m not a gun carrier. When open it’s like a small sword. Very solid and still not too big to carry comfortably. The carry cases that come with all TacKnives larger products are perfect as well. Quality throughout as usual.

  3. Overall good quality. Only criticism is overly stiff finger deployment button & some play in blade.

  4. This thing is a beast! Exactly what I’d hoped for. Seems very well built. The action is flawless so far.
