Great knife. The quality far exceeds the price point, I already have a XL tanto otf and a XL reverse tango otf. I’ve already made a 3rd purchase today that I’m waiting on for another tanto just like this, a karambit, butterfly, and a Damascus tanto(excited about this one). These not only make a great carry knife but also a great gift, gave one to each of my groomsmen for my wedding last week. Don’t hesitate just get one, especially if it’s on sale. This knife is on the far left in the picture. No regrets on any of the dozen purchases made already.

I got this along with another brand of OTF knives called Lightning Elite. These were my first ever OTF knives. Although the Lightnings were nice, the TacKnives MT9T beats them in the quality department hands down. I was surprised at the beefiness of the MT9T. It was certainly heavier than anticipated but did not detract from the quality of the build. I got a scratch and dent version. I inspected the knife when received and the only thing I noticed was the vertical lines on the blade which are barely noticeable if you look closely. I have no idea if that even affects the strength of the blade. I think it is mostly cosmetic, but I am not a blade smith. The action was harder than expected but I think I will just have to get used to it and build up hand strength as I was starting to do anyways. Compared to the Lightning Elite in regards to misfires, I had a couple with the lightnings and one with the MT9T. In all, I am very pleased with my purchase and got another knife incoming next week. If I do my finances alright, I think I will buy more for my friends for presents in the months to come. I highly recommend these knives.
