Very happy with knife. Can barely see scratch and will get more and larger scratches with use.

Nice knife for the money. Photo shows reason for scratch and dent discount. Purely cosmetic.

Very Heavy Duty Knife! So far I am very impressed with this knife, it seems to be extremely well built and is heavy duty. I purchased the Scratch and Dent just as a means to save some money. The only thing that I had noticed was that the top mounting point for a lanyard was bent, no big deal for me I dont plan to use it anyway. The knife opens and closes with some AUTHORITY! the blade is extremely sharp I cant speak for the life of the edge yet though. The ONLY reason I am giving 4 stars is that the description led me to believe that there is a manual safety switch on the knife and there is NOT. I have concerns that one of my children could get curious (Yes I teach them not to touch knives yet) however I am worried that they would be able to activate the blade.

I wanted a large OTF knife so when mine showed up today I was rather pleased that it’s actually a proper size. Really like the drop point blade design, I’m very familiar with 440C knives and thus how to sharpen them. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the lightening cuts on the spine of the blade have a nice black coloration as well as the blade is a powder coat or nitride finish of some type.

Mines supposedly “scratch & dent” but I don’t see any blemishes what do ever. The only, and I mean the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because within about 140-150 times opening and closing it, it’s gotten hung up on the closure and stuck out an extra half inch. I was able to shake it down and it went back home. It doesn’t happen often enough to be an issue. Maybe it got mistreated during shipping because usps is notorious for playing soccer with packages. I own my own business. I’m used to that. So hopefully those hiccups are just that.

Otherwise the finish is great, size is great, price is great and it seems as though even scratch and dent knives are still covered under the functionality side of the warranty. Really, overall I like this knife a lot.
