I am new to OTF knives, and I have a lot of Kershaw & Gerber knives that I'm very happy with, however this is probably my new favorite that I've ever owned. The locking mechanism is very tight, it's easy to get a good grip on it to slide the switch. The blade slides very easily, with little drag and it requires a bit of effort, so no risk of accidental deployment. Do not get me wrong, quick deployments of the knife are fabulous. The blade itself is nice D2 steel. My overall impression is that it's a great knife and time will tell if it is worth the price tag but let's be honest - OTF knives by others are 2-5 times the price and TacKnives offers warranties and repair services for reasonable prices.

I have really only ever owned automatic knives that cost several hundred dollars or more. I found TacKnives and their various models online, and figured they look like they have features only found on very expensive switchblades, such as Microtechs or Benchmade. I ordered this less than a week ago and got it today (March 1st.) It came in a simple, attractive box with a sticker, a coupon code from TacKnives for my (I will DEFINITELY be buying from them again) next purchase and a nylon sheath. I am very impressed with the fit, finish and quality of this thing. It fires and retracts just as hard as a Microtech Scarab or Combat Troodon, and the lines on the D2 blade are good. I will be back soon for another purchase.
